RRG Weather in July

I'm looking for info from folks who live closeby as to what the weather is like at RRG in early July (most notably, if it's normally unbearably hot).  The internet says mid-upper 70's is average but I'd prefer to hear it from people who know. Anything else I should be aware of for that time of year?  Bugs?  Crowds? General banditry?

Thanks!

Weather will be hot, but tolerable, with crowds enough to sustain an endless stream of partners without feeling too busy.

Itll be humid, heat isnt the worst, but the humidity might catch you off guard if your not used to that kind of weather.

Not sure where you got mid 70s, but 80's and 90's are typical for July.  I believe July is also the month with the heaviest rainfall of the year.  I hope you have a tolerance for feeling moist - most crags get little or no breeze so the humidity is godawful.  On the plus side the crowds die down, especially during the week.

It will definitely be hotter than mid-70s.  I wouldn't travel there to climb in July, but if you're in the area I guess its worth checking out. Just have a cold shower waiting at the end of the day.

Summers in the Red are pretty brutal unless you just like to suffer.  Definitely would not recommend.  It is very hot, lots of bugs, and very overgrown (including poison ivy everywhere).

I've done a trip on July 4th to the RRG the past 2 years and always had a blast. But to echo what others have said, its rained a bunch (can always find dry stuff) and can be hot. But as long as you aren't trying to redpoint your new 5.14 proj, just go enjoy it.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
