Goggles that fit well under a helmet

What are your favorite mountaineering goggles that fit well with a climbing helmet?

For the goggles that I've used in the past, most climbing helmets press down quite a bit on the top of the goggle. This presses down hard onto the nose as well, and restricts nasal breathing. Aside from being uncomfortable and restricting breathing more, I suspect an impact to the helmet may injure/break the nose as well because of the close coupling from helmet to nose through the goggles.

The best photochromatic ski goggles that i've tried (Eg Julbo aerospace) fall into this category as well of not being compatible with many climbing helmets.

I think this question is going to depend solely on what helmet you have and what your head shape is. I have both mammut and BD helmets. Both have a different brow shape and fit different goggles and sunglasses alike. I dont recall which goggle fits which helnet best but i always try on whichever ones im going to use before heading out. I also have a large selection of goggles to choose from.

Agreed Tony. What are some of the goggles you have that have enough clearance for you, depending on the helmet?

Im kind of partial to my Zeals. Their lenses rock. I mostly grab either my Fargo or voyagers, the fargos are flat on the top while the voyagers have more of a crown like the slates do.
Tough to beat a good pair of sunglasses with side shields though .

I got the Mammut Alpine Rider for backcountry skiing.
I was looking for a dual rated helmet (ski/mountaineering) which could hold a headlamp.  There's Dynafit and Mammut which met those criteria, I couldn't find the Dynafit in Montreal so I went with Mammut.
They fit goggles pretty well, unlike the Petzl Meteor which is my climbing helmet.

Just make sure you have a big gap between your helmet and goggles and then you won't have the issue :D

Porter, yep, that's the point of my post :P I've always had difficulty finding goggles that leave a gap...

Salomon Mtn Lab?  Or does it not take a headlamp?  I'll have to see if I can get a headlamp to fit mine, haven't tried it yet.

I like Julbo. Aerospace is too big to fit well under a helmet, but Elara fits quite well. Smaller lenses, compact and lightweight. The lenses don't open like Aerospace, but who uses that feature anyway...

Nope,  no headlamp attachments

Well that's disappointing, guess I should have checked that before I purchased, now I'm gonna have to come up with some(likely) janky solution to make it work, haha.

What about Camp Speed Comp?  It was too narrow for my head, so I have the Mammut Alpine Rider as well.  It's worked fine with my Smith I/O goggles.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
