Okay, so besides asking folks who are hiking in the day of, is there any reliable way to get weather updates at the bivy spots? Would you have more luck hiking out the cirque a little bit? I realize the chances are slim, but it would be sweet to get updates at the bivy sites.
You can look at the nps webcam of Longs Peak and at least see snow conditions on the upper part and the road at the trailhead. This gives you a good idea of snow condtions/visual. The mountain-weather site gives a forecast for several elevations. The 11,484ft one will be most relevant. In regards to current conditions, all the summer bivy spots are pretty well under several feet of snow at the moment. You can dig into one for sure if you bring a shovel. Last week, after post-holing through several miles of fresh snow, we climbed in bare hands and crampons at 13k ft in RMNP, but storms are coming again now....conditions highly variable!!! Few people bivy there this time of year much less post about it, unfortunately for your query.
