Backcountry Skiing in the Black Hills, SD

Does anyone know of anyone skiing Black Elk Peak (Harney)? Just skied it today and Im gathering some if any history of bc skiing in the area for an article.

Dont know that it really fits into the concept of backcountry skiing but lots of people have been crosscountry skiing the harney peak trails for a very long time - about 30 years ago was the first time for me but I'm sure there were many way before that.  Cant think off anywhere in the area where you could really get off trail because the timber and deadfall has always seemed too thick.
