Twin cities climbing partner wanted!

Hello climbing world!

The names Cody, been climbing on and off and in and outdoors for about a year. But I'm trying to get more into climbing making it more than just a "hobby"

I'm sorta new to the area and looking for a good group of people to climb and drink brews with.

Can consistently climb 5.10d - 11a. Recently been in the gym more than I would like to some times getting stuck on the auto-belays because of not being able to find some random person to climb with.

But if you climb a gym and want a buddy I'm cool with that too. Like I said I'm Kinda of new to the area and looking for a few people to go out and climb with consistently wether it's the gym, red wing, taylors falls devils lake. Whatever. I don't climb trad but I'd be open to learning

I climb at VE-Bloomington I'm open most night and weekends I can make open. Wouldn't even be opposed to traveling for some good climbing.

if your still in Bloomington next week a climbing buddy and I will be in townish near you from the 30th-6Dec. Rhichfield and Farmington. Got rope and quick draws climb sport, both solid at lead belay. My friend is a solid lead climb at 5.9 outdoors. I'm just lead climbing in the gym right now on5.9(not ready for lead outdoors yet). Would be down for some outdoor climbing, caving and indoor gym climbing if your game.

I'm in the same boat as you - I don't know really anyone climbing in the area, only in the gym currently, and would like it to be more than a hobby. Beer is agreeable too.

I've been climbing since October of this year. All I've done so far is top-rope at the gym (5.9), but I'd like to learn to lead sport and eventually trad also. I've never done more than scramble and boulder outside, so I can't teach you anything but certainly happy to learn and belay. I'm from Wisconsin and would love to get back down to Devils Lake again and see it from a climber's point-of-view. 

I'm in Rosemount - which is about 20 minutes southeast of Bloomington. I have some guest passes to use before the end of the year for Lifetime in Lakeville - they have a decent little cavern there. Let me know if you're interested!

I sent you two both a message. My dad lives near Bloomington so I'm there every other weekend most of the time. Also frequently climb outdoors. :)

I'm new to Minneapolis and also looking for a climbing partner. I used to guide a group in college but since then lost a lot of my strength, but I'm still a solid catch on lead. I'm just looking to get back into it. I'm comfortable with 5.9. and v2's at the moment. 

Is anyone here looking to take advantage of some Ice climbing, if there is any left?

Jay, I won't be doing any ice climbing, but I'll do some gym climbing in the area. I'll be outside somewhere every week during the spring/summer.

All, I'm typically at Bloomington on Thursdays from 4-7 with a few friends or in St. Paul earlier in the week. We are always welcoming of others. I try to get outside during the warmer months and take some longer trips to the black hills, north shore, or devil's lake once or twice a summer. Claire, i was at barn bluff in red wing last weekend. Seems like ill be heading out there sometime in the next few weeks again.

Claire, went to Devils lake today. I'll be out again this week maybe twice. 

Claire, headed to Taylor's Falls on Saturday, weather permitting. Likely an all day type deal.

I work this Saturday, unfortunately, or I'd see if I could tag along.

If any of you guys end up having room for/are comfortable with a newbie joiner sometime, feel free to let me know! I'm admittedly ignorant as to what the etiquette is for climbing with people you don't know.

Hi all.  I’m working up near Duluth all week, from today, the 6th through (maybe) Friday the 11th.  I was hoping to do some afternoon routes outside if anyone here is available (I figured this might be a better thread than starting my own).  I’m thinking Sandstone (?)—open to suggestions though.   I’ve done some bouldering outside, learned ice climbing in Feb. of this year, but mainly have been pretty heavy on gym routes since Sept. 2017.  I’m thinking more top roping, since I haven’t practiced lead, etc.  There are some anchors or tie offs at Sandstone I know from ice climbing there.  Looking at DL later this year too, but I have zero trad experience to date—though I have some a (very) basic rack for it.  Let me know here or by PM if this can work this week for anyone.  I have some flexibility in how late I’ll work this week if it helps in getting some climbs in.  Otherwise—it’ll be indoor gyms for me again this time up here (VE-Duluth).

Hey all, I'm in MN for the rest of may and could use some partners, I have a full rack and am willing to go most places in the state. I'll also be hanging out VE minneapolis in the mornings/ afternoons.  And was thinking  of going to taylors falls friday weather permitting.
