Red Rock Canyon NCA Capacity Study Survey
|

Visitation at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, near Las Vegas, has been steadily increasing for years. These increases have led to visitor and vehicle management issues, especially around the main scenic loop drive, and can impact visitors’ recreational experiences as well as the area's natural and cultural resources. Link to survey: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/4035233/RRC If you have any questions, please contact either Will (wrempel@thegreatbasininstitute.org) or Chad (ckooistra@thegreatbasininstitute.org) with the Great Basin Institute. Thank you for your time and insights! |

Leslie McG wrote: We've just started sharing the survey, but plan to reach out to a range of groups involved in RRC (major recreation, conservation, education and naturalist groups, for example), and are going to ask them to share it either through their official social media pages or email lists. Our goal is to send it out to a good cross section of the general public that uses RRC, while also trying to keep track of where it is shared. If you have any ideas on groups that would be interested in sharing it, please let us know at the emails above! |

Imo....GBI's(Great Basin Institute) record with the mtb community in the Vegas valley isn't the greatest(actually many despise them)....I recall a bunch of trail work(water diversion bars) done by GBI in Cottonwood Valley a few years back that wasn't needed(in the locations they did it), done wrong and without any local user input. It took a few motivated locals to correct what work you guys did....... |
