From Kentucky and climb at the Red quite often. Looking for a partner to help and show me the ropes of Rifle Colorado. I am comfortable leading up to 12.a. Please respond as soon as possible! Thanks

I don’t know but maybe 10-20 degrees. Try rifle falls state park in NOAA

Jack browning wrote:How much colder is it up at the walls compared to downtown rifle? A LOT! It's usually 10-20 degrees colder in the summer. Probably more in winter. Hint: local guide services analyze the snowpack as part of their avalanche classes. Canyon is narrow and runs North-South, so the walls don't get much sun even in summer. If you're in the area, check out the Pup Tent and Main Elk. They're sunny but you'll probably be hiking on snow.

Shelf Road is better for the sub 5.12 routes and you'll likely have perfect weather. Less grease too!

Awesome thanks everyone for the responses. If anyone is looking to climb if it’s nice then let me know. Shelf road would be a great time if it’s nice
