I'm Jonas from Germany and I'll start a 4-5 month climbing/mountaineering trip through Peru, Bolivia and Chile on november 1st. My first destination is gonna be a crag in the Cusco area in Peru called "Pitumarca". A peruvian friend of mine told me about it and it sounds super cool. I'm planning on staying there for 3 weeks or so in november. After that I'll head to LaPaz/Bolivia to meet up with my girlfriend, we will see if the weather will allow for some mountaineering in southern Bolivia or Peru in mid December otherwise we'll head straight to Chile to find something there. In February/March I'll probably be hanging out at Cochamó Valley in southern Chile which is a really rad climbing destination with huuge white granite walls and a lot of fun to be had.
If anyone is looking for a partner for any kind of mountain adventure during that time and roughly in the areas I described above, pls just shoot me a message. I'll have ice gear with me as well as trad gear and a rope so I'll be ready for everything! Also I'll update this post as I go, with current plans and destinations.
I live in Santiago and hoping to plan a trip to Cochamo sometime this summer (Dec-March). I'm an intermediate trad climber but have never climbed big walls. My summer schedule is still TBD but happy to stay in touch to see if something works out. If you're interested in climbing around Santiago I can give you all the info. Also, Valle de los Condores is about a six hour drive south of Santiago and is the largest sport climbing destination in Chile (about 500 routes).
sounds cool! I'm also more of the intermediate climber, no real big wall experience either. I'll be in the santiago area around mid january, and defo interested in going climbing there! I'll hit you up when I know the exact dates ;)
