Roof routes in california
|
|
I'm going to be in california for 4 or 5 months and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good super steep cave/roof routs, I climb in the low 12's any suggestions would be great thanks |

CA is pretty big. There are quite a few notable roofs. Some that come to mind are the Great Roof at Goat Rock in Castle Rock State Park, and Heaven and Separate Reality in Yosemite. |

Don't know where you're at but this place in the central coast has some, notably this one https://www.mountainproject.com/route/108154715/the-hell-of-being-crushed-alive but the whole area has a lot of steep/roof sport |

I just want to thank everyone for the great info! |

There's that one place near the jail that's pretty steep. Then there's the OW roof in Jtree that eats men. I've also heard of a big one on the Nose. |

Guy, have you given The Gong Show a try? I was thinking of trying it out but I didn't know how I'd get through the bottleneck section so I decided I'd try it later when I can ONSITE 11.d ..... so like maybe much much later. How was it? |
