Big, powerful moves on fairly good holds. A workout.

Starts just left of the last line at The Owl Tor, Hell of the Upside Down Sinners, but carries straight up and underneath and over the huge detached block.

Yep. We had discussed a system where everyone hits it a certain number of times each visit... and started things off strong back in March. Think we all spent at least an hour sledging the thing after a day of redpoint failures. With some focused effort it'll be gone soon. Get after it! Jun 27, 2013

Micah, you've raised the bar. You're talking about the stone at the start, right? Jun 26, 2013
Still can't believe how good HOBCA turned out. So stoked that Phil sent. Some truly classic sequences unlike any other route in town. Get on this thing.

BTW - Who's gonna take care of that stone at the base? I expect that thing to be gone next time I'm in town. Jun 26, 2013
Nice job, Phil! Jun 11, 2013

I'm proud to say that I was present for Phil's send of this route. Completely and utterly rad. I've never seen a route like it. A little history of that day:

I had just sent Chips for the first time. RIght after that, my buddy Dean sent Chips for the first time. Right after that, Phil sent The New Hell. Three redpoints in the space of one or two hours. Needless to say, the Tor will have its revenge over the next month.

Oh, and beta spoiler on The New Hell: get reeeaaal strong on two-fingers.
