Feathered friends Volant Jacket with hood. $300 OBO.

In terms of fitment, I am 5’10” and 170 lbs. plenty of room in the arms, and chest is just right with a softshell underneath. Perfect ice climbing belay jacket!

I bought this new a few years ago, and paid extra for an 800+ fill power down upgrade and the hood (which was an option at the time). New ones are the same design and fabric, and cost $410 plus shipping. There are a few spots that show some wear, but nothing truly concerning.

The hood is awesome in serious weather, and the 2-way zipper is nice for belaying— the rope doesn’t pull the whole jacket up, so your sensitive belly flesh stays covered.

FWIW, I take very good care of all my gear: I am the guy who takes his jacket out of the yurt when we start frying bacon, so the shell fabric doesn’t get misted with oil or smoke. Every season or two, I do some surface cleaning with a solution of tech wash/water in a spray bottle. All my down stuff is always stored fully lofted in a cotton storage sack.

Hi!

I'm pretty sure it's a large, but I cut the tags out. I can tell you that it fits me pretty well at 5'10" and 170lbs. I have broad shoulders, and I think somebody who is a little huskier would fit fine in this jacket too. I can reach my arms up without having the sleeves shorten dramatically, and this is the problem I usually have. I'm usually a medium in major outdoor brand clothing, except for the sleeves.  So I buy a lot of larges and take in the sides with my sewing machine. This jacket, however, fit right out of the box. I hope that helps.

I am six feet tall and have fairly broad shoulders. I intend to use this for climbing Mt. Washington this winter and will need to layer a lot.

I'm happy to arrange something. I'm not sure how to send it to you so you can try it on (and still protect both of us from fraud). I don't mind if it doesn't fit, and you need to send it back to me. I'd refund you of course.  Would paypal allow us to do all that?

I believe it would. You would definetly be covered and if I didn't want it and there was a fraud issue (which I'm sure there wouldn't be!) I could just sell it for the same price on Mountain project.

Update: jacket now on ebay. I'd be happy to take a good offer and pull the listing.
