I don't mean to be a dick about it. But if you're "struggling" to sell something it's just a case of pricing it too high. Or selling something nobody wants. Used shoes are worth a lot less than other hard goods. Because, you know, feet.

BTW, I sold a full rack of cams recently here on MP for a good price. Took about 2 hours. The buyer and I had to struggle a bit with the payment/shipping details to make sure we were BOTH protected. We were both patient with each other and figured it out. Box is going in the mail today, tracked and covered by Paypal buyer and seller protection.

I'm guessing it's hard to sell size 38.

If they were 39s I'd buy them.

I understand. Price is negotiable and I reduced it. I hope it will help. Both pairs I sell are in really good condition so I hoped it wouldn't be something no one wants. Maybe just because there's less women here than men.

How about 38.5 womens Miura lace-up? Fresh rubber, $40 shipped.

This was me, and I was previously scammed by the poster this thread is about. Appreciate you working with me to ensure we were both in the clear!

Sounds like a good deal, but just a little too small :-(

I'm happy I disappointed you.

LOL - remember I welcomed you back after what seemed to be a hiatus from MP, said I remembered you were a real piece of work but couldn't reference specifics?  I knew I was right, Uncle Burchey's still got it!

FYI all, I contested the transaction with 'John Heck' with PayPal, and just received that money back. Not sure if anyone else has been able to, but this is great news. This purchase was (foolishly) done with out Buyer Protection, so Im stoked.

That's great news Christopher!

Did you "pay for goods" but elect to skip the buyer protection, or did you pay with Friends and Family?

I did the latter and saw no way to dispute the payment . If you paid F&F I would love to know the process you followed!

Going F/F with someone like that is not doing your due diligence, imo.

Sorry you got ripped off!

If there is the slightest doubt, buyer cover the fees!

^^ This.  I've purchased a couple things and paid the fees on my end.  I've sold a couple things and always let the buyer know it's up to them - of course I also provide other links to verify my identity.  If your seller has no footprint, DON'T take the risk, or if you lose, it's really on you for blindly handing out your hard earned cash.

To speak to the experience of my sale to Chris, above, we had to go through some hoops because he'd recently moved and his shipping address wasn't verified. So PP wouldn't have protected me if the rack of cams had mysteriously "never arrived" and a claim was filed. Which is a common PP scam. So we had to find a way to ship the good to a verified PP address in order to protect both him as buyer and me as seller. As it is, now, I just logged in via Paypal and can confirm the goods were delivered today (Enjoy the cams!).

If you can't get all that worked out I'd say just don't do it. Or be willing to lose the goods or money.

Correct! For now my mother is enjoying the cams until she ships them out to me :D

A good example of how even buyer and seller protection can be circumvented. I probably seemed like a sketchy buyer, being new to the forum and with the PP issues. Thanks for working with me.

Im brand new to buying from this forum, but its cool to see so many people aware of the risks and taking steps to stop it.

You mean like how you had an address in SF, an address in Los Angeles, and an address in NY? And two names? Nah...

I've got some 39 women's miura laces if that's the shoe you're after. Bit of peeling on the soles though. I've done a DIY patch with shoe goo that I think is good.

Also, to comment on the student loan forgiveness thing, don't you have to prove you're too poor to pay back the loans for forgiveness? Like he's going to go to court 25 years later and be asked to produce a few pay stubs showing he's not made enough in the past 25 years to make any payments.
