Hiyo, my partner and I are taking 1 car to climb this route and was wondering if anyone else is coming this way and would be into setting up a shuttle to avoid a veryvery long walk at the end of a day.

Cheers

Don't you rappel the route? It has been many years, but that's what I remember.

Edit: Are you referring to the route in Mazama, WA?

Edit #2: After reading the route description on MP, it looks like you can either rappel it, walk back to the base or do a shuttle.

You could also rent bikes at the Mazama store

Mazama is under a full blown fire Evac order. You should probably stick to the exits.

The fire warning was lifted at the end of last month... https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5409/

You can rappel the route but I wouldn't recommend it.  Everyone I know who has rappelled it, said they would never do it again.  Too low angle rock leading to stuck ropes, hot, and long.   I have climbed it twice and bikes are the way to go.  Leave the car up top and ride the bikes down with your climbing gear while it is cool in the morning.  Then climb the route and you will be back to your car up top.

Its gonna be in the 20s and 30s here pretty soon so hot won't be an issue. Lol.

I've climbed Prime Rib 3 times and rapped the route every time, it's easy and a 70m rope is overkill for the climb but combined with some mellow downclimbing will let you skip a couple of raps.

Only advantage I see is I linked pitches 6 and 7 and 10 and 11 with a 70m. Don't think that's possible with a 60 meter but I might be mistaken.

But I agree, the raps are easy to read and all anchors are on spacious ledges. Took about an hour and some change as we were benighted 2 raps down. (Crack of noon climbing at its finest lol)

It's like 11 miles back to the base if you walk/bike.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
