You do know you can bivy without a cave, don't you?

Stop feeding the troll!!! He is obviously joking. Nobody would actually do what he's saying he did at 11 pm to a sleeping party.

Does OP have a photo of the fractious parties bivy site so we can all say how unsafe it was?

If this was only true. We were camping in a huge meadow above a climbing area one night and around midnight a truckload of teenagers pulled up 20 ft. from our tent and proceeded to blast music and start a huge pallet fire with no regard for my wife and I. In fact we were told if we didn't like it we could leave. So we did. Never underestimate those who cannot see past the tip of their own nose.

Sounds like a typical night at the camping area for the Monastery.

I had that exact experience at the Monastery.

To the OP, I really love that you are actually trying to return lost property to "the Douche Nozzle with the Steph-Davis look-a-like partner." I hope you find him. He will be eager to hear from you and super blessed by your concern for his well-being.

Care to explain?

Ha, that sounds like half my experiences at Camp 4 in Yosemite.

Glacier Gorge is Federally designated wilderness, but that doesn't mean it's "wilderness." It can be crowded AF and you can only bivy in designated sites. Often you will have to bivy right next to somebody.

OP must be the same SOB that fishes 5 feet away from me when the river bank is wide open for miles.  Also the same bastard that pulls into my campsite late at night expecting to set up nearly on top of me.   Believe me, if that was my bivvy spot you rudely strolled into, at midnight, Steph would have swiftly given you an assbeating and sent you on your way.

Nope. There are designated zones, not sites. You're doing it wrong.

Should I care what you said about not caring what Spencer said?

Absolutely not. Spencer is a troll who has never contributed to the site in a positive fashion. Probably has to do with low self esteem.

Sorry sir. I wasn't at all serious, and clearly he bugged you. My apologies to you, I do understand.

Personally, fool that I am, I still see live people on the other end.

Spencer, I hope you are okay and get yourself sorted out.

Best, OLH

I climbed with him at LCC when I was at OR. Nice guy, good belayer, and didn't try to convert me. I'd climb with him again.
