Approach Conditions for Conness West Ridge / North Peak Area
|
|
Has anyone been in the Saddlebag Lake region who can tell me the conditions for approaching the Conness West and North ridges, and North Peak? Thanks in advance! |

Fair bit of snow on the approach two weeks ago but nothing too annoying, definitely take light crampons or microspikes - Im sure its melting out rapidly. Gully to west ridge looked dry. Traditional descent back to sawmill campground is still a fairly steep snow couloir but can be desccended with a bit of alpineering. The descent off to the south probably is more mellow and melted out. |

I did the descent from East Ridge yesterday afternoon. I skied down a few snowpatches with my hiking shoes -- lots of fun! Snow will not be a problem for you, but route finding might. I am not sure what the hell I went up, but it wasn't the same way I came down. |

Can anyone comment on the condition of the North Face North Couloir up to North Peak? |

There's a condition report from about a month ago on the MP page: https://www.mountainproject.com/v/north-face-north-couloir-right-couloir/106637286 I know it's not too recent... |
