Front Range alpine rock conditions

@altonR -- Saw you guys up there. We were fiddling with the loose block on D7. From our view, the second raps from Chasm view were still buried in snow. Crack of Delight was gushing. North Chimney is probably the only reasonable way up to Broadway in current conditions. D7 was mostly dry, with some light spray from above, and I think most of the routes on climber's left side of the Diamond are probably in, but traversing Broadway in current conditions requires caution. |

Kirtis Courkamp, how was the approach up the North chimney? |

Kyle Walter wrote: Snow 2/3's of the way up. Very soft on Sunday in late morning and we had to bail out right onto rock lower then ideal and rope up. Very, very wet in there currently. Mountain boots are probably a good bet (for dry feet all day) for another week or two at least. |

Anyone been on the black wall recently? |

Anyone know how the the approach to Zowie is? |

Hopped on the Petite yesterday...conditions were awesome and super dry. I can't say for sure because we never went up there but I bet Zowie is good to go as well |

Thanks Owen |

Climbed Direct South Ridge on Notchtop yesterday. Snow was clear from the approach gully and the route was totally dry. However, quite a bit of snow on the climber's trail once it split off from Fern Lake. We seemed to be the first party up that way in a couple days, so route finding across the snowfields was pretty tricky. Flotation wasn't necessary, but a topo and compass sure helped a lot. |

Anyone have info on the conditions of the final bit of the approach to Chasm View Wall? |

Andy.J.Stevens wrote: Chasm view approach was in great shape last weekend. Soft snow, and we kicked steps on the last steep snow section. Wall is dry. Looked a lot better than north chimney and broadway that's for sure. |

Thanks Mitchell! |

Did Good Evans today on the Black Wall. Route was dry and perfect although the occasional ice chunks breaking off the wall to climber's left had our attention rapping in. Really only an issue for the rap in near the bottom if using the standard rappel route. Saw some big chunks come off after we topped out around 1pm. |

These photos supplement the ones Nodin posted above. These focus on the condition of the Lamb's Slide Couloir, Broadway, just below the keyhole route on the boulder field and the north face of Long's as of 6/22 |

Has anyone seen what the approach/snow looks like to Main Vein on Meeker? |

Any updates on Glacier Gorge area? Approach to Spearhead? |
