Selling my draws and harness.

10 DMM Alpha Sport draws. Best draws on the market in my opinion... and definitely the best looking. Selling as a set. Less than a year old. $200 shipped.

Arc'teryx SL 340 harness, size medium $60

I'll post some pics this afternoon when I get back to my truck. Pretty sure everyone knows what they look like.

Steep? Over a hundred dollars off the retail price....$26.95 each plus sales tax. They were almost $300 when I bought them, and they aren't even a year old. They are the best draws on the market IMHO. But thank you for you're interest in my stuff. Were you interested in them ? Or just commenting?

FWIW's DMM Alphas come new with a groove in rope biner to keep the rope in place.   Perhaps take a look before providing unwarranted criticism on a product you're unfamiliar with.

I took a good look and several of the rope end biners on the right of the photo ARE deeply worn. The rest look pretty good.

And I have owned DMM Alphas.

Seriously...

We get it. You're an expert on DMM draws and you don't want theses. Got it. Well, You can pick these up anywhere on the net for about thirty bucks a piece.

I've sold a ton of my gear on here and have been fair and honest with everyone. Ask around. From ropes and harnesses, to gear and clothing. I have never tried to get over on anyone. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but the classy thing would have been to PM me rather than openly criticize my stuff, when you're clearly not that familiar with these. But thank you again for looking.

I can also vouch that Brian is a stand up person.  Just did a transaction with him and he was extremely honest and helpful.

Chiming in to vouch for Brian, who is a solid seller.

I love to see how passionate we get about gear, and hope I'll always put at least as much energy into CLIMBING.

Oh, and thanks to Goatslayer for keeping "hella" alive. Brings me back to 1993 in Sacramento.

If anyone wants to start a sticky in which we can quibble over the origins of "hella", then I'm in. I could argue about that for days.

I am sure he is a good dude.  Thats not at issue here.

The condition of the draws was.

Goatslayer was right, kinda. Only two had deep grooves, but grooved they were.  And Goatslayer got slapped rudely. Yes he was not as polite as he could be, but several of you commented and were missing the obvious!

I got called out (politely) here on a Trango Vergo I was selling as it had been recalled the day before I posted it for sale.  I am sure that looked fishy to some, but I had no idea and was glad to return it for a full refund.  I am glad someone noticed that!

Personally I think folks commenting on the apparent condition of equipment is just fine.  Be nice about it.

As for commenting on price, these can be found on sale for about $20 a piece though price is up to the seller and buyer, I don't care about that.

Howdy Brian.

I posted here as there were several posts that were problematic.  First Goatslayer was only partly right, I saw only two that were worn, the rest looked good. So his observation needed to be addressed and clarified.  I didn't think he was as nice as he could be to you btw.

Second, several of you made some rather off base and rude remarks about Goatslayer.

So on the one hand I didn't want to wreck your post or call your integrity into question.  But on the other one of the most basic tenets of climbing (or MP) is to check each other and say something if we see something is amiss.  As the above posts were online already I decided to post rather than PM you as my problem with this was how Goatslayer was treated,  And by you I would add.

Hey, if anyone was offended by my comment, I'm hella sorry. Just wanted to lighten the mood, and show my appreciation for a good seller and a little entertainment. I really was heartened by the use of hella, which was once a core element of my lexicon.

I do agree that if one of us sees a potential safety issue--either on a forum or at the crag--it's far better to risk hurting someone's feelings than to allow someone go on oblivious to the risk. Clearly, my threshold for wear to a biner is much higher that some others', but we're all entitled to opinions. Were it not for such differences, I'm guessing there'd be a lot less perfectly good used gear for sale.

I like how we're all trying to look out and stand up for each other--as clumsy as that can be at times.
