Will be visiting these areas, looking to get some climbing in. Sport or trad, doesn't matter. I've got rope, gear, and transport. Worth a shot!

Some Los Alamos people get together Tuesday/Thursday night for top roping; tonight will be at the Y which is easy to find. The Facebook Los Alamos Rock Climbing group is also a good place to find partners. Welcome to NM, and have fun!

Glenn,

What did the terrain and weather look like up there near Taos? I'm planning on doing some backpacking and hiking Wheeler in the 25-28th time period and was wondering how much snow, mountaineering boots needed, gear etc.  Thanks

Wheeler definitely still had snow on it! I'm not much of a mountaineer, but we did see a fair amount of snow from the pitches we were climbing

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
