Has anyone used the Rakkup Guidebook App for the New and/or the Red? How are they? Does it seem like they are better/as good as the paper guidebooks?

Sounds good. So the apps seem to contain everything the paper guidebooks have to offer as well (Route Topos, descriptions, gear recommendations)? I downloaded a few of the samples, but it seems like there are some features missing. For example, There are topos with letters next to each route, but no corresponding letter next to the route description. So I have no idea which route is which on the picture. I'm guessing that is only because it's a sample.

If there was no information of what gear to plug in the paper book, there will be none in Rakkup. The free MountainProject app is the best resource for gear beta, but route list is not very comprehensive.
Perhaps it has something to do with the actual guidebook, not the Rakkup app. I just checked NRG Sumemrsville/Orange Oswald, letters on the area overview link to routes. Same thing for RRG South/Drive-by.
Keep in mind - Rakkup guys are constantly developing their app, they are quite responsive. If you have a feature request it is definitely worth giving the a holler

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
