Newer TC pros wider? Options for similar fit but slightly narrower toe box?

In my experience everything but the boostic line runs narrow in the heel and wide in the toe box, which I love but isn't for everyone.

Have you tried the scarpa vapor lace? If you don't necessarily need the pure edging performance of the tc pro, it could be a good option. While it does appear to be down turned, it does not climb like onet. I cannot tolerate downturned shoes either, including the katana lace. I think the combination of less asymmetry in the last and softer profile overall is what makes this shoe tolerable for me. My toes are 100% flat (as in not pointed downwards) after they broke in, which happens very quickly. The downturned profile of the toe basically give the shoe great edging ability when sized properly (ie not like a sport shoe) while still allowing my toes to sit normally. I think they feel similar or slightly wider in the mid-forefoot area, but the toe box is much more gradually tapered than a tc pro or katana lace. Basically, I think your "outside edge" might fit tighter than either of those shoes. I obviously can't say for sure if they will fit you, but they seem to fit a variety of feet well. I have a low volume foot overall with skinny heel to midfoot, average width at the met heads, but a stupid fred flintstone forefoot. They fit me decently well. Definitely snug on my last few toes but much more usably than other shoes. A partner of mine also has this shoe who has more of an average narrow foot and they fit her like a glove.

FWIW,... I liked my resoled TC's better than the ones with the original soles,..why?..because they fit better just a tad snugger. Not a size 40 but just snugger than the size 40.5 that I wear. Oddly, the un-resoled pair fit a little looser, just enough to be a bit annoying. Had thought about maybe going towards a size 40 and maybe they'd stretch out to be perfect?

Still wondering...

This is bloody brilliant! Never thought to do this.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
