My company is looking to film a commercial in Colorado mid-march that would include footage of rock climbers. Trying to find a good location, I know weather can be unpredictable but where would you recommend as the best spot this time of year?

Also looking for camera men/sound/riggers with rock climbing experience.

Thank you!

Are you prepared to deal with permits on State Park, National Park or BLM land?

blm.gov/wo/st/en/prog/more/…

If not then best of luck finding some private property to film on.

Mid march can either be awful or awesome. Shelf road, North Table in Golden, Boulder Canyon, Clear Creek Canyon, Eldorado, Garden of the Gods: all these can be great if the weather is with you. You might get more useful feedback if we knew what kind of shots you're anticipating. Close in climber oriented shots? Sweeping drone footage with the climbers as backdrop? There are places that have great climbing but don't have great scenery. There are also places where filming would have greater or lesser impact on other climbers.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
