I'm worked up and I will be shooting them down.

Drones are considered aircraft, and shooting one down is a crime.

Fly it in an illegal zone. Then report me for shooting it down while you were flying in an illegal zone.

Well I guess the courts can decide that one.

It's a federal law not a state law. :) appeal.

It is a federal crime to shoot down aircraft, and this week, the FAA confirmed that that includes drones. This is great news for anyone who has a drone, and for anyone who doesn’t want errant bullets falling from the sky, and it’s bad news for anyone eager to pump a quadcopter full of lead.
From Forbes’ John Goglia, who confirmed this with the FAA:
According to the FAA “regardless of the situation, shooting at any aircraft — including unmanned aircraft — poses a significant safety hazard. An unmanned aircraft hit by gunfire could crash, causing damage to persons or property on the ground, or it could collide with other objects in the air. ”
To reach this justification, the FAA turned to 18 U.S.C. 32, a law that in part expands “United States jurisdiction over aircraft sabotage to include destruction of any aircraft in the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States.”

Who said anything about guns? I don't need a gun to shoot down the most annoying toy that I've ever witnessed.

It'll go down and who's gonna know how or from where?

Oh, and for those stating how illegal it is to shoot down a drone, are you forgetting that it's illegal to fly one in Eldo or the Flatirons? Gtfo

They do have cameras on them...you know that right? But thats not going to deter a big internet tough guy with an arm like Roger Clemens, will it?

The OP observed a drone flying where it wasn't supposed to be in close proximity to climbers and others enjoying the area.

If that doesn't piss you off, I don't know what to say.

Until then, I'll be the "internet tough guy" that wants to beat up drones.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
