Lovers Leap camping on weekends

Anyone know if the Lovers Leap campground is still likely to fill up on the weekends this late in the year, or is there a decent chance of finding a spot on Friday evening or Saturday?

I was the only one in the parking lot 2 weeks ago. Had the whole Wall to myself. it was awesome... you should be good

FYI "The campground is generally open between May 15th and Nov 1st. These dates are affected by snowfall."

Once the snow comes the gate will prob be locked.

Anyone know the current status? I expect that because of all the snow this weekend that it will be closed for the season.

The website claims it's still open: fs.usda.gov/recarea/eldorad…, but I'd recommend calling the rangers to confirm. 530-644-2324 was the number I called to check before going up on veterans' day weekend

If anyone on site could give a quick report on how much snow there is after tomorrow's storm that'd be great! Probably too much...
