Probably because it's not a single pitch trad destination. ;) Obviously, there are one-pitchers, but it's better known for multi.

Wow. People really don't understand the concept of single pitch.

Ted Pinson wrote:Wow. People really don't understand the concept of single pitch. what? This topic is so flawed , there is no way to say unless you limit this to: 'One pitch from 10 feet long to 180 ft long" Or limit it to Climbing zones that are short, My favorite one pitch climbs are starts to grand climbs. There is a one pitch climb below Serenity Crack that is an all time five star, climb but given its location its name fades . . . , Same with Big & Little Cottonwood Canyons. Your faced with this in Sedona,Arizona and Zion. Short one pitch climbs are every where . But the most limited in hieght rocks - are in the North East
The Origanal Post ! Zachary Winters wrote:OK friends: what, in your opinion, is the best single pitch trad climbing in or out of the US? Favorites of mine include Squamish and Indian Creek (and non-creek desert crags). Let's keep this one positive :) Ok, go! (searched MP, and didn't find this thread already - is that possible?)

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned City of Rocks, ID. While not as large, I would put the climbing on par with J-Tree.
