Hi, I'm Seb from Montreal Canada and going to Cali for work, my climbing partner Ben and I have the 25th of Oct 2016 off and we want to climb Cathedral Peak. we have no trad and multi pitch experience but really want to do this climb. I love climbing, I have the gear it takes but lack experience. I sport climb and top rope single pitch only... Suggestions ? Thank you :) Seb

Highway 120/Tioga Road is currently closed. Good chance you won't be able to get to Tuolumne Meadows to climb Cathedral Peak.

it's closed because of rockfall. It might re-open before your trip.

DOT states due to snow over the weekend. Warmer weather all week so check DOT or caltrans website.

I was hoping it would re-open, but this is the rockfall that you're describing.

Ejoe has it. they usually just list 'snow' because its on a tip-down menu or something...

looks dry where the rock is. hopefully that thing is busted up and rolled out and they pop her for november!! i'm feelin a dry nov and late TM sends : )

We're in luck, CalTrans updated and are hinting at re-opening sometime soon!
