gonna be in Israel the entire month of October

Anybody ever climbed there before? Have any connections or friends there? Tips on taking gear internationally? A friend of mine brought up the idea of going and a few days later I bought a plane ticket (unfortunately after I bought my ticket I found out my friend may not be able to make it afterall so it may end up being a solo adventure). Of course I'm going to do a lot of sight seeing in the holy land, but a huge reason to go is to climb; I mean come on, how awesome does that sound. I looked on the Israel page and saw that there's a whopping 3 routes listed so I'm not expecting much, but I'm kinda going in blind and am looking for any tips or help that I can get. Hey, did you end up going? I will be in Israel on October 19 until ?. I would be down to climb. And if you brought trad gear we should definitely go get on some big stuf in wadi rum Jordan. I only have a harness and shoes, no rope draws cams etc. well let me know if you want to climb!
