Bear creek spire conditions

Climbed two weeks ago, no axe/spikes needed. Soft snow made for easy glissade on descent.

Echoing what Mike said above. Snow is very suncupped where you do have to walk on it briefly to get to base of route. No snow on Cox Col descent, so pretty casual to go out with approach shoes and no spikes. Was nice to bring a pair of short collapsible poles for the descent though, mainly for the sun cups.
