Good idea, I checked and there were no ticks. This was bail gear so maybe they didn't bother with a tick. I don't tick all of my climbs, perhaps I should.

I've always assumed that bail gear was booty for the first pirate to find it...

But good on you for trying to find the owner.

Someone probably has some good memories with that rigid stem friend, It will most likely hang on my wall next to the wood ice axe I found on The Cross Couloir approach in '08. I already have a huge hex that almost never goes out.
