Pennine Alps Conditions

Hey All,

Been following the conditions up high and it looks like there is a bunch of new snow/verglas up high. Wondering if anyone is on the ground in Switzerland or Italy and can report on conditions, specifically on Cervino/Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, or any other peaks in the area?

Yep, lots of snow last week. Monte Rosa may be doable (call hut and ask for recent conditions). Matterhorn was totally not in-season (unless you are Russian or Serbian or Polish) from the Italian side 2 weeks ago and this was before the last dump of snow. I expect that it only got worse, but all can change again with a stretch of sunny weather.
