Hi everyone.
I am flying in to Las Vegas on Wednesday 3rd August, planning on making my way up to Wyoming and the Grand Tetons, but was hoping to climb for 1 or 2 days in the general area of Red Rocks before heading out for my big adventure
This would be Thursday and perhaps Friday the 4th and 5th August
I am 34 years old, male, from London, currently mainly bouldering ( I range from V3-V5 on a really good day)but I would feel much more comfortable top roping some sport routes at around 5.10d 5.11a
I mainly climb indoors but I have some experience climbing outdoors
If any of you kind folk would have the time and generosity of spirit to show an enthusiastic tourist the famous climbing crags I would be deeply grateful
Looking forward to meet you all
Warmest

I will respond here since the thread that was left as a reply is a cluster fuck of trolls. Red rocks will be hot. But with plenty of water and climbing only in the shade it might be ok. Mt Charleston is the better option. The 8000 or so of elevation gain make a huge difference. Plenty of info here on MP. Also I would buy the guidebook at the local gear shop. Send me a message if you need a partner in Wyoming I'll be at ten sleep mid august.

Cheers for that info mate, really appreciate any help
I know about the temperatures, I climbed in that area at the same time of year last year and although I did climb from around 5:30am -11:00am, I had a fantatsic time
I will beheading up to Wyoming the week after and would love to try some of the craggs in the grand tetons
May well be in touch
Very best
Dovi
