Looking to possibly do a night climb on either cliff. Was sorta thinking standard route on whitehorse or some other easy to moderate. Have full rack and can lead up to 5.9 trad but was thinking something on the easier side, just a fun long night climb. Maybe a few brews along the way. Who wants to have a little adventure? I could also possibly do a day climb aswell but was more intrigued by a night adventure.

The girdle traverse is an awesome night climb...and it's super easy to bail if needed.

Awesome Dave! I might have a partner lined up but I'm down to climb with a party of three. Chances are they will bail anyway. It's showing possible thunder showers Friday but that could change. I have a full rack but have only lead for a couple years. I have lead up to 5.10 on gear but am more comfortable in the 5.8-5.9 range. But I figured standard would be a fun leasurly climb for nighttime.

Unless you have good moon, Standard can get shadowed in the arch, making pro a bit tough. Slabs Direct get full moonlight and is pretty staightfoward. The runouts are are on easy ground and the 5.6/7 sections have decent gear.

Thanks John! Ya I'm just really hoping this rain holds off. If it doesn't it will be the third time I get rained out on a whitehorse night climb.

Hey Dave, weather is looking half decent for tomorrow. Still possibly want to climb? My partner may not be able to make it til late tomorrow night, so if it looks like the rain is going to move in early evening than I wouldn't mind trying to get out sooner with just a party of two. Otherwise I might not be starting til 8-9pm and would bring a greater chance of getting rained out

Chris I could possibly make tomorrow morning work. But I would have to get an early start, say 6:30-7am. Would that work for you?

Not particularly, I'm game for anything, but am most comfortable leading moderates. But I'm up to follow on some harder stuff. I was thinking "standard" on whitehorse only because it would be an easy climb in the dark. But in daylight hours I'll jump on anything 5.10 and below.

Damn, that's cool, next time. I know the struggle of trying to climb and having kids. I have a boy of my own. Hence the night climbing.
