http://store.nalgene.com/Nalgene-16-ounce-Wide-Mouth-Water-Bottle-p/16%20ounce%20wide%20mouth.htm Pint Sized nalgene. Duct tape some webbing/cord around it as a handle, add a carbiner, and you're good to go. For multipitching i typically carry 1 with water, 1 with beer!

I second everything that has been said already, but older petzl helmets make excellent beer cradles.

Just put it in your partner's backpack when they aren't looking, ala "Eiger Sanction". ...

Isn't that what a stomach is for? If that doesn't work, you can switch to whiskey and pour it into a small canteen.

^^^ +1 on stuffing the beer into your partners pack, but it only works once or twice.

I agree that you should solo, but that is because you have ditched all the gear in your pack to make space for more beer. Several camelbacks could be filled. That way, there is no danger of dropping your beer (alcohol abuse).
