Hey All,

Can anyone who has recently been out to Lower Devil's Canyon comment on the condition of the road? I've got AWD, but not high clearance. Just hoping to get to the windmill.

How about the back road to Lower Devil's East? I think that one's less traveled, longer, but drops you closer to LDE.

Haven't been out there in awhile! Thanks!

Thanks Marcy! We are keeping our fingers crossed for the weather to clear up in Sedona, so QC is our secondary. But I'll definitely let you know if we are headed out that way. Thanks!

We were there a month ago and the same spot which Marcy was talking about was pretty rough. We were in an AWD with clearance and it was rough going down and going back up it. Without clearance some pretty large rocks will most likely damage your car.

I was out there about two weeks ago and the switchbacks are pretty rough. I bottomed out in my F150. A buddy of mine did stop right before the big hill prior to the switchbacks though. He drove out in a Volvo SUV and was fine until that point. From there its only a 20 minute hike to the canyon.

Does anyone have a recent update? Is high clearance still needed or will a Subi make it? Thx
