Yosemite Overnight hike and climb

Hello everyone,

I am heading to Yosemite in May and I have been looking for an awesome overnight hike with some possible climbing on the way. If not, just a hike to a lake or river where we can enjoy a night out under the stars away from everyone and some good fishing would be just as good. I would really appreciate the info. Thanks in advance for the help!

Hike up to Mt Conness and do the West Ridge. One of the best 5.6 climbs I've ever done in a very remote location. Solo it and leave the rack at the car. Not sure about legal camping options but I'm sure there are possibilities.

Great idea, but will Tioga Pass be open when the OP gets there?

The past 4 years it's opened early to mid May, depends on late storms I suppose.

Mount Star King would fit your requirements ...

A hike up to the top of Clouds Rest is also not to be missed , you are actually 1,000 feet higher than Half Dome looking down on its summit.

I would be shocked if Tioga opened before Memorial Day this year....

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
