Looking for weekend/outdoor partner Houston/Austin area

I'm looking for a regular partner primarily for climbing outside, and a weekend gym partner as well, in the Houston/Austin area. I prefer trad, but love sport climbing and bouldering as well. I live on the west side of Houston but as the closest climbing is Austin/E-rock I'm willing to make the drive and meet at the rock. I can lead 10- trad and 10+/11- sport but am happy to follow just about anything and more than willing to help you learn outdoor or trad if you're looking to do so. All I ask for is a safe belay and that you occasionally laugh at my bad jokes. Let me know if you're interested! |

Hey there Mike, Entry level climber here in Houston. Been climbing indoors for a bit over a year, only TR as of now but looking to take an indoor lead class in the near future. Climb 5.9 with an occasional 5.10 in the mix indoor, and have taken two trips with guiding service out to E rock and reimers. Going to be around Austin, probably reimers next weekend 4/8-10 with some buddies who climb about the same level. We have gear but not enough outdoor knowledge to climb alone. If you're in the area or would like to meet up another time would definitely be interested in some outdoor tips from you/ give you a belay and laugh at your stupid jokes. |

Hey foreman. Myself and three friends went to monster rock yesterday and got rained out after one route. Gonna try it out today, we are camping at pace mf bend so it's hella convenient. Not sure that we have the time today to get out to reimers, we have to get back to Houston/DFW at a decent hour tonight .. |

I'm also in Houston. I have been leading trad for a few years. When I was climbing outside all the time out west I was leading 5.9/5.10. I'm always down to get out on real rock. |
