Hey All,

I have friend of mine doing some work with the NPS near Yosemite and she is having a hard time finding a place within a reasonable distance from the Park.

Any direction or guidance as to where to go? I usually just camp so I am a little removed from this situation.

Any one need a roommate?

Thanks.

Hey there,

In actually working for NPS in El Portal, so I think that'd be the west entrance. If there is one.

Don't most of the nps folks live in those apartments in el portal? Seems like the place to be.

El Portal would be the place to stay, then. It's a cool little community, and asking around here may just be the way to find a room to rent.

They don't have housing for me,that was one of the disclaimers when talking about the job. It has become my responsibility to find something, so if you know of anything...I mean anything-please let me know! Thanks!!

Have you checked the mariposa gazette or Sierra star classifieds?

I would also recommend the mariposa rentals Facebook page.

Good luck!

The El Portal rental market can be difficult to infiltrate.

You might have better luck finding a place in Midpines. Try the calling or stoping in The Rental Network in Mariposa.

I'd also recommend posting to Supertopo.com. The forum is a lot more Yosemite centric.
