I have OCD (obsessive climbing disorder). But I also have LLD (lazy leader disorder). I'll plan the trips, bring the gear, bring the beer, start the campfire, cook some yummy food, and will most definitely tell absurd stories (once, I cleared a crowded Cat Slab in 38 seconds with my raunchy mouth and we had the crag all to ourselves). But I dislike leading. Fortunately, most of my partners insist on leading and I'm the cleaner. I will lead if need be, am a safe lead belayer, and a quick cleaner. I can follow up to 11a but would like to start working on harder routes. I do not climb multi pitch and have zero interest in this. (Respectfully, multi pitch climbers who groan at this remind me of triathletes who like to remark to me, "oh, you're only running a marathon, whatevs, eye roll.") I have been climbing for over 6 years; mostly CCC, BC, and Shelf.
I'm looking for partners who love to travel to climb, who prefer climbing outside, and who are chill about the adventure. Some days I want to go hard, other days I just want to enjoy being on top of a mountain. But every moment of climbing must include laughter and humility.
I'd like to gather a smallish crew and start getting to know each other now in the gyms; both Movements, BRC, RJ North, the Spot, Denver Bouldering Club. I'm looking forward to getting back to Shelf frequently this summer and would also like to explore Wyoming and Utah.
If any of this peaks your interest, holler at me. Did I mention Ghirardelli dark chocolate, giant 'mallows, and brie cheese s'mores?!
