Ice and Jeff, this thread has always been for folks offering free gear, not asking for it.
You would have better luck actually getting stuff by creating a new thread to make your requests, plus might avoid some fierce Internet scolding.

I have two BD Vapor helmets. Free for local pick up in Boulder CO

The catch.. the backside, where the webbing of plastic is with many air holes got cracked.
You know the story… It was in the duffle, you arrive on a climbing trip to only find out
what happened. So you fix it with tape & glue, and go climbing on your trip!

These would be fine (I think, as the top is intact) for beginners top roping, the occasional
friend or family member you take out on a little first adventure, etc.

Dude there are literally hundreds of other people in the exact same situation as you who are saving and scrimping, and buying used gear, and taking responsibility for their situation, rather than asking for handouts.
This thread is for offering free gear, not for asking. If you want to do that, start your own thread (although I imagine that you won't get too much in the way of response, given the fact that you literally JUST made your account...).

anyone have some old rap rings they don't want? 4 if possible. don't need to be in good shape. i have an idea for an easily adjustable hammock strap and don't want to splurge on new ones. i'd of course pay for shipping

come to think of it, a retired harness with speed adjust buckles would work, too.

Well, that's not really how I've read the last 20 pages.

It has been for offered gear, with only true charities allowed to ask for free gear without getting hassled.

I think it's a really worthwhile cool thread, but if it's going to turn into a general begging thread I'll stop participating.
