I knew this sounded to familiar... |

I started a chat with the objective of trolling them. I asked if I could buy 10 backpacker pantrys and they said I should contact Backpacker Pantry because they will only sell 1 per customer. And then Peggu hung up on me. WTF? I didn't even get a chance to troll. |

LOL~! Those are epic. |

I love sending positive feedback and giving companies grace when there are problems, but these guys deserve what they get. |

From a person who has worked around Copper for only a couple seasons, and interacted with them at their storefront there on a few unpleasant occasions, I can tell you that they are both as unsavory and conceited in person as they appear to be online. A lot of my work duties were performed daily within sight of their shop, and they pretty much fit any negative French stereotype you can muster. The "wife" Anna, Sofia, whatever she goes by spends most of her days sitting in a chair outside of the shop chain smoking cigarettes and drinking can after can of Coca Cola with the physical aptitude of a sack of rocks. Their entrance is constantly littered with empty cans and butts because of this habit. |

Locker wrote:"Prevent customer trouble- delete emails, ignore phone calls/chats, and... don't sell stuff". I believe that you may have come up with the best idea yet. LOL! Id love to know how to make money under this business model. It seems so counter-productive, but somehow they've made it work |

I am going to see if they offer home mortgages. I need to re-fi before rates go up and they sound like thy would know how to do it right. |

I almost bought something online from these guys but they wouldn't accept credit card payments, so I was able to cancel the purchase (they asked for payment via Western Union or Bitcoin)which they did only because they weren't paid anything yet. |

has kicking people out of your store for not buying something fast enough ever worked? |

There are enough good mountain sports retail companies out there that you don't have to do business with these types of scammers. Most of us know the dozen or so most tried-and-true (Mountain Gear is typically included on the short list and I certainly have had nothing but good experiences with them). People who haven't been into mountain sports for long or haven't bought much gear may be in for a surprise if they just shop the internet and go with the lowest price. |

"I will continue to use them for my Ice Axes needs and will suuggest them to others" "I am very plesed with my order from 123 Mountain" "The Ice Screw I have gotten from them have worked as expected" "I have shopping this site for a while now" "They where really fast and the Pants working great" "I will continue to order my mountain equipements from them" "They have really knowledgeable stuff who are willing to help you" That's some funny stuff. No one could ever guess that they are posting their own reviews. No one. |

More people need to learn about the Fair Credit Billing Act. Anytime you feel you have been screwed over and you paid with a credit card, federal law authorizes you to file a dispute and request a credit of the charge by your cardholder. Some banks extend this ability to debit cards as well. I use it as a negotiation tool when dealing with shitty businesses. If they dont want to deal with me, they can deal with my bank. That's fine. |
