Lime Kiln - Sun City Bees

Hi, we were up at Sun City yesterday and were swarmed by dozens of bees at the base of the Cave walls. They were pretty aggressive so we left. Is this common up there? It was our first time to sun city , and those bees don't seem like they want to share the crag....
