It was another brutal winter day in AZ. High of 56. We were forced to climb in the sun!

Not to ruin the AZ circle jerk, but it kinda sucks in Flagstaff right now! If only I could afford a set of skis and lift tickets!

To be fair, this is what greeted me this Saturday trying to climb at the Hairpin area

But of course, the next day we were climbing in t-shirts in the shade at Miligrosa

Because you couldn't walk the 1/4 mile up the road to the hairpin???? If the volunteers tell me I cannot walk up the road I just go up the wash. If you mean bad weather I must admit that the 8 or so days I cannot climb a year are really a bummer.

I meant the weather. Of course we walked it up there
..and climbed in the sleet and rain until the rope got too wet

Glad to hear it Sam. I probably would have just gone home and waited for the sun the following day. Those Sheriff's volunteers with their uniforms get all power hungry and can make people think they can't even walk up the wash.

It isn't always warm in the winter. If we had really wanted it our crew would have stayed and toughed it out.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
