Survey on environmental impact and climbing (for my research paper)

Hey, so I'm doing a research paper and it's on climbing and if there's a substantial or negative (or even positive) impact on the environment in areas climbers go to.

I need to collect some of my own data for the paper, so I made a survey. I figured I'd post it here so I can get some more answers for it. It's 10 questions and I'd really appreciate it if you took the time to answer them. Thank you!

edit: I deleted one of the questions as I realized that it wasn't very good and another question already asked something similar in a better way. This doesn't mean you have to take it again as all the results are still there for the other questions.

I took it, but I suspect people may be reporting behaviors they know they should have rather than what they actually do.

Yeah I know this is true, and that some people might purposely be an ass and try to sabotage it by answering things that aren't true.

Oh well, the 100 person limit was reached (Surveymonkey will only show the results for the first 100 surveys filled for free, afterwards you gotta pay $$). Actually it says that 200 people have filled it out now, over about 12 hours from me just posting this on here and on /r/climbing. Goes to show how many people lurk without posting on forums I guess.

I second what rGold said. I normally bring a trash bag to pick up trash i see when i go out climbing. only ever seen one other person doing the same. so when i saw 70% say they pick up others trash......i call bullshit, huge bullshit.

You've only seen one other person doing what, specifically? Bringing a trash bag?

I wouldn't be surprised if most climbers pick up microtrash like gear marking tape, small bits of climbing tape, glass, food wrappers, etc.

I wonder if the survey population is biased in the first place. What percentage of people who wouldn't pick up others' trash would respond to the survey in the first place?
