I'm curious as to who'd consider buying Power Cams in equivalent sizes to the #3-#6 Camalots. The current range stops at #8 in the power cams which is about a #2 in BD, right?

We've got a couple cam threads going on, so I thought I'd ask and see how people feel. I'd probably buy them.

I just bought an old #9 power cam and will probably by a number 10 when I can find one, I wish they still made them instead of the supercam

I haven't been climbing long enough to know what came before the supercams, but maybe they'll switch back one day.

The 8 is closer to a 3, but a touch smaller.

The 9 and 10 you can find on eBay. I believe the 9 is maroon and 10 is dark blue. I don't know what the ranges are but I don't think the 10 is even as big as a 5

I carry the 9 and 10 when I take a double rack. They are durable and easy to place, and I like carrying different cams when using doubles as different brands fit specific placements better.
I got each off Ebay for about $30 a piece.
That said, Camalots are lighter and have better range, so if money were not a concern I would go with those for a single rack.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
