Yosemite and Tahoe not supertopo

I'm looking for guidebooks to Yosemite/Tuolumne and Tahoe regions for a 2 week climbing trip. I already have the supertopo guides for Yos and Tuolumne and I have done a lot of the climbs already in those books. I'm looking for more comprehensive books that are more complete rather than popular (which equals crowds).

Any suggestions?

I believe the Reid and Carville books are out of print. I'm not sure I'd bother with the Jackson book for a short trip unless you're just a guidebook junkie, like me. As far as S. Tahoe, I'm not sure there is a good alternative to the ST. Honestly, I think your best bet is to combine the Supertopo with the information here on MP.

Not interested in boulder though, thanks.

Maybe supertopo will be fine. Thanks.

What Csproul said. Though, you can get the Carville guide still on amazon.

Supertopo covers some areas really well and others not so well. Others not at all. If you're just trying to hit the high points that everybody is going to have done, then go Supertopo. It really dumbs down the cragging experience though, and I think it would do the upper end 5.11+/5.12 and beyond trad climbers a disservice in many instances. Non comprehensive, to say the least.

The Jackson book I still see as the third choice, more of an obscurities tome.

There really isn't a great, unified guidebook for the area, and newer areas that are becoming more popular are not in any current guidebooks.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
