Where to live?

Maybe getting out if the navy this winter. Looking at relocating from coastal CT to some real mountains. Taking into account proximity to civilization( wife is a nurse and wants to work in a hospital) affordability and proximity to mountains, where should I consider?

Jackson would be nice, just up the road from Pinedale and the Wind River Range. Seriously some of the most beautiful country out there in the Titcomb Basin.

Bozeman would work pretty nicely too. It has a pretty nice hospital (although I myself have not had to visit it) and is plenty close to a bunch of mountains, I can assure you of that. Missoula would be another good spot, though I'm not as familiar with it. They're both affordable too, especially in comparison to some of the places I've heard about on the east coast.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
