Show me your storage rack

Title says all. Lets see some pictures of your climbing gear storage. I'm trying to figure out how I want to build one and I'm looking for inspiration.

I couldn't find a similar thread, either I suck at using the search function or the search function sucks.

I am relatively new (Definitely not sporting quintuples of BD .3-6 like some guys on here ;), but I use a couple to organize everything. And, a lack of ropes means a lot less space is needed... I need a new rope...

I mean this in a nice way, Brian C, but when I see gear that well organized, I automatically assume "crazy person."

I use about 3 of these (or something quite similar).

#1 has 3 ropes and some rope tarps/bags - These are my older or heavier ropes.

#2 has all the gear I don't need often - Aid Gear/Spare Stuff (lots of harnesses) /Wife's Stuff

#3 Holds my typical trad rack and sport rack ready to go, with optional extra stuff loose in the bottom. My go-to rope is also in this bin.

Shoes go in a plastic milk crate so they get aired out.

All this stuff sits on a shelf under a workbench in my garage. My packs sit on top of the bins.

Totally not climbing enough these days! I guess that's what having a kid will do to you. Haha.

my 1 year old has been to the crag with me at least once a week since she was born, I actually think I climb more now, than I did before having a baby...

These guys are really good... stackable, locking handles, durable. Got one small one in the car with gear and few big ones at home.

I wanted to play along since I've always gotten a kick out of how I manage to store all this:

Having a big, unfinished plywood table is my favorite part. I file tools over the top of this, get chalk all over it, occasionally building things, and most importantly, all my ice gear gets put on top of it after each day out. The optional fooseball table underneath is a bonus.

Who can guess where the ropes get stored? I'll include one more shopped' pano

Plastic Shelves, and Steriltie Tubs are all you need. I have boxes for ropes, shoes, rack, packs etc etc. Edit To Add: GET THE CLEAR or Semi Clear ones so you can SEE what the hell you put in each one.

The Peg Board idea might be ok for things like hanging a pack or 3 or your bulk items like trekking poles or ice aces but they SUCK for your climbing rack. Yes, it looks really nice and organized but it takes a metric TON of time to pack/unpack each time you head out. You have to individually remove and replace all that stuff. Never mind that they're terribly space inefficient. Better to just have a few random hooks to hang stuff off the side of your self. I have a tub wit the gear slings loaded up with a typical outing and various loose gear clipped to a 12in sling (pretty much all those 12" are good for)

- Grab Pack off rack
- remove and pack needed items from bins
- go

ProTip: You can also get essentially a plastic footlocker like a Rubbermaid Action Packer. This what I keep my climbing rack etc in. I can easily toss the whole thing in the van for longer trips and pick what I need out of the portable chest as needed. Ropes, Shoes etc go in clear tubs and for a trip, I toss what I need into the Action Packer.

Thanks for the inspiration on climbing with a kid! Mine is 11 weeks old and is just starting to get happier sitting around. I plan on getting him out at a young age.

5 Haul bags take care of the gear.

I downsized from 3,000 ft of rope to a modest 8 cords, made a big difference.

Milk crates got it done before I started in on the big projects.

3 rubbermaid rough neck totes in the garage. And the futon/door in my office are my storage and sorting.

One for ropes, one for hardware, one for winter hardware. I'm neither a noob nor a sport climber, but one of those rubber maids could hold a big wall rack, mine is barely half full. I guess I need more gear.

The dog is pissed about the futon, because while it doubles as a couch, bed, and gear stowage, it's also basically his bed (when he isn't in our bed) so having piles of ropes (doubles, singles, static canyon cord, pro, etc) on it means he has to lay on the floor.

Primarily my trunk. Often times in a pile.

This was the best solution I cam up with as a high schooler.
