I'm in Santa Fe for a conference July 24-25. I'd love to get out somewhere close (Diablo Canyon?) the evening of the 24th, or in the narrow window between when my conference ends at noon on Friday and my flight leaves ALB at 8 PM. Interested in quick .10/.11 sport or bouldering. Oh...and I won't have a car! Yeah, this is desperate, but thought I'd try. I've been climbing many years and am solid. Email me through MP if you take pity.

Of course figures that I'd leave western WA during the only reliably dry time of year to hit NM in monsoon season. Regardless, I'm still hopeful in the pity factor here...

If I rented a car for the PM on Friday, is there decent bouldering within an hour? How long to Ponderosa?

If you get desperate, you could always hit the Stone Age Climbing Gym in ABQ during your free window on Friday. It is right off the interstate and not even ten minutes from the airport.

Thanks for the suggestions. Looks like I might be able to get out to Apache Canyon. Is there any source of beta beyond the little bit on MP? Any place to rent pads in SF?
