Anyone seen this rock before?

SW CO, Weminuche wilderness. A buddy of mine who doesn't climb but hikes a lot said he found a canyon in the middle of nowhere and this is the photo he took. He said tons more rock but I can't find any information about it and all he's able to tell me is it's in the Weminuche.

Wow,,looks awesome! A well kept secret or is this a commonly known place? Would be nice if access is possible and climbing developed there. Keep us informed please.

yeah I've saw a bunch of that stuff in the Weminuche, lots of it is pretty friable I think though, still, there's probably loads of cool backcountry routes

If its a cell picture it might have the GPS embedded.

Don't know where this place is, but props to your buddy for the photos. The photos in the gallery are pretty damn good.

I downloaded the image hoping it would have the geotag info, but no luck. It looks like it was taken with a regular camera, not a cell phone, and no GPS location stamp is there.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
