So, I desperately need help with my feet. I, when not otherwise occupied by my numerous injuries and assorted afflictions, am a military office, stationed at forgot Benning, GA. I am from Colorado and come from a mountaineering background, but currently am putting all climbing/hiking/pretty much anything on hold until I can get some.issues worked out with my feet. The problem is that I seen to be about the most cold-weather injury prone individual on the face of this planet. I am not sues how exactly I got to where I am, but I am now at the point where after spending 1.5-2 he's in 27-32° weather with cold weather boots, wool socks (wigwam rebel fusion) and use of foot warmers for the last 30 minutes outdoors I nonetheless sustained a moderate cold weather injury (doc said chilblains) that will keep me out of the field for a minimum of two weeks. Two days prior toto this my feet became so cold that i began losi.g feeling in my toes sitting in a movie theater with wool socks on. soI believe I have had frostbite in my feet once before, although I am unsure as to the extent of damage- it was not severe enough to require an immediate hospital trip and I did not see a doc for a couple weeks after the incident. Nonetheless, I cannot for the life of me figure out how my feet got to this point or what to do about it. A lot of what is going on seems to have to do with moisture in my feet - I've noticed that my feet frequently stay warmer just sitting around without socks on than with warm ones and I know myself to generally be an individual who sweats quite a bit, but thisthis still does not senoten like it should be the whole story, especially given that I am losing feeling in a movie theaters. Any help, advice, or guidance the community could provide me with would be thoroughly appreciated.

You sound like you could use some supergaitors. These go over whatever boot you are wearing and add a layer of insulation around the entire foot. Of course most of them are made for high altitude mountaineering, but I've seen smaller ones that might be a little more agile. My friend has frostbite issues himself and he uses them while cross country skiing with heat packs. There were various electric socks available out there with different levels of quality and price. You might dig a little into that area, too, but definitely shop for some supergaitors.

You might want to see another doctor or podiatrist to get a better diagnosis. This doesn't sound normal. Maybe you have some type of circulatory problem (obviously, I have no idea). Here is one type: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rayna… See another doctor!

Agree FrankPS - sounds like Raynaud's to me. Find a Rheumatologist and get it checked out.

Interesting. I am on here today to look into cold feet in my climbing shoes. I too had a cold injury I didn't think much of while in AK for 4 years. (charley airborne) As I have gotten older (57) I have been having same issues. Not sure what to think. Limited research is leading to circulation issues. I have found silk sock liners help a little keeping feet dryer. Let us know what you found out.
