I went to climb and noticed that most of my rack was missing from my car. Must have been stolen on St.Paddy's day night. Please be on the look out for: 1- #2 BD camalot w/ matching Neutrino 2 - #1 BD camalots w/ matching Neutrino 1 - .75 BD camalot w/ matching Neutrino 1 - .5 BD camalot w/ matching Neutrino 1 - .3 BD camalot w/ matching Neutrino 1 - red BD c3 #1 1 - green BD c3 #0 + silver neutrino 1 - brown tricam 1 - pink tricam+ silver neutrino 2 - petzl attache 1 - orange/redish atc 1- orange cordelette - with green screw lockers 1 or 2 attache / misc nonlocking carabiners
Full set of BD nuts & unknown amount of mammut slings All of my gear is lightly to medium used, marked with black tape on the stem near the cam. The tape is forged onto some pieces or may easily peel off others. All of the nuts are taped too. I can't afford to buy any new gear but I can offer a reward for any returned gear. Stealing climbing gear is messed up.

That really sucks. Well, if I see any of that around I'll dig up this thread. I hide all of my in-car gear under piles of crap that look unappealing to sift through. It's worked so far.

Ouch! I just lost a big chunk of my small rack by leaving it somewhere in the dark. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to have it stolen. I hope you get it back soon.

http://mountainproject.com/v/107518186 this photo shows how I marked my gear, a sticker on the stem near the cam head as well as on the neutrinos.

A filed a police report. Explaining what a cam is to Boulder PD is not easy. "Is that for roped climbing?" I got my dog, Choss from the Humane Society, you get what you pay for. Thanks and just be on the look out for this incomplete rack on MP or craigslist or where ever thieves sell stolen gear.

your rack lives in your car? I hate to say it, but you were kind of asking for it. still sucks, If you have renters insurance, you are probably covered and should make a claim. good luck

Your car insurance should cover it. Is that a "full rack"? Just curious.

Geico won't cover it, unless car is stolen. my renter's insurance has not determined if it will be covered. i filed a police report. Incomplete rack they didn't take #3 cam, .4 cam, my quickdraws, 2 nuts, though i had many doubles from booty. Had gear ball, because I just had finished my first real aid climb and had my gear in my car and was too busy with work to get it sorted. likely car was broken into on St Paddy's day.

Also they didn't steal my aliens. Yes, Choss, my dog was in the car, doors locked, windows & roof cracked. Parked on 10th street between Spruce and Pearl

Its obvious they were climbers. Very bad carma to steal gear!

To avoid any bad carma they should just anonymously drop the gear off at Neptune's with ' I'm SORRY' note.

Thanks Mitch. I'm just hoping that my gear is recovered. I really can't afford to buy anything climbing related for awhile.
